Yes! We know of many examples of non-religious people experiencing intrusion by medical staff and chaplains when they have not requested it.


No. We want each person to have the freedom to experience their healthcare with whatever religious component they desire, even if that is none.


Those materials do not produce a religion-neutral environment, instead, favoring one religious expression over others- or none.


We favor chaplain support only if the hospital or care facility also offers a Secular or humanist chaplain as well.


We are only in an adversarial position when religion seeks to be the default position, implying that everyone wants religion and prayer when it comes to their experience with healthcare and end-of-life care.
